System Introduction The basic concept of D-RAN aims to operate the distributed base stations from a single locale so that the system can provide better services at low maintenance costs. The system is also new in that it separates a part of (or the whole) the RF bloc, transmits them to various remote sites, and offers services to subscribers from the remote sites. These sites work as independent cells.
